As my friend Shameem used to say... What a day!
The halls of Ashore were filled with costumed young people stretching, dancing, talking, and being generally cute.
Yes, it was DANCE MOMS WEEK!
But it was also supposed to be Let's Do Trivia! "Supposed."
We were there and ready to play another great game, but no regulars showed up and it could be that the hallways loaded with young people was intimidating to other guests, but we only had one team show up specifically to play. Being able to switch directions on the fly, I quickly moved into "NAME THAT TUNE" mode and played songs after song testing everyone's collective musical memory!
We took requests and even set up a bunch of line dances!
"I'm nothing if not flexible!" I used to say but after watching these young dancers bend and stretch, it is clear I am only flexible in my mind!
Whatever happens this week, I'll be ready! Let's Do Trivia!? Sure! FUNKY BINGO? Sure! Some other hybrid of entertainment that we come up with on the fly? Sure!
